Helga!!!! Hang out here in the old chat room at least for a while!!! Everyone seems to wander in at one time or another! Someone had the idea that maybe "they'll" notice we're still using it, or maybe the e-mails will have some effect. I didn't know the "old" one was still usable. Maybe a lot of people haven't read Kitty's e-mail yet either!

Hi, Sandy, I don't know how much different your 620 is from mine as far as reinking. Do you just refill the tank? Where do you get your ink, etc. Would appreciate any help. I got the Canon because several people seemed to have a relatively easy time reinking! Do you have the "photo" cartridge and do you refill that?

Well, I'm throwing in the towel. So go ahead, call me a coward; it does not matter anymore. I have given all this mess quite a few days already, and things are just getting worse. I can't get to Michael's home anymore. Frank, even with your instructions, I can't get back into your new place although I registered with the company a couple of days ago. In addition, the live chat rooms are not for me; the pace is too fast for me. There just is no time to think. Wishing you all the best....Helga=^..^=

Sally, I'm sure Larry (our reinking King) Can give you the information on reinking your HP 722 (I think that's you're printer) He's given a lot of us here great information on reinking. I have a Canon 620 and have been reinking for several months now with no problems. I love the money I save and am not always running out to buy cartridges. I was scared silly at first but now almost feel like a pro. I actually think that my friend Juanita is really close to reinking her cartridges, aren't you Juan. I'll get you to post here one way or another. Sandi

Hi Eleanor I also have PSP5. Upgraded directly from Jasc Software For $40. I love it. You can do a lot with this program and I use it all of the time. It seems like everytime I use it I learn something new. I'll have to check out the site for add ons. I also have several sites bookmarked that have some fantastic tutorials if you would like them, let me know. Juanita, it is I from Cow Town USA, and I think you are much better at talking than I :-) You just need to learn how to talk and type at the same time girl!! And no, no nap today. Grandkids were here and who needs sleep when you can play with them instead? I'm sure I'll be feeling it tonight. Sandi

Hello to all, I'm glad to have found my way back thanks to Kitty. Larry it is rainy, rainy, rainy. Last weekend we had 4 inches of rain in 24hr. Highly unusual for here, a 75 year record and many people had water in the ba#$%!t and now while they are all still soggy it is raining again with a possible 2inches forecast. Wish we could send it to Florida. Have been to Disney World several times and just loved it and the area, So sad to see all of the fires. Have a great day. Arlene

Eleanor, where did you get PSP5 at that price? Was it Win or Mac? Did it come in Mac? I bought & loaded Virtual PC trying to use Win PMG, bought Win PMG and the darn thing won't let me use the two Art CD's. I'm getting really frustrated. I bought the PMG for my Mac and have had problems with it also! Maybe PSP will work, as PS Deluxe seems to work well, but does not have the graphics of PMG!

We also won't clutter up the message board with stuff that is just chit. Wellllll not too much anyway. E-mail me at the address above if your interested and I'll send the address.. It's Looooooong. Larry, Sandi said she saw your sock in the “new chat room”—well I did too, but sorry to say it did not look too good, a very unhappy sock IMO. It was curled up in a ball in the corner and it was very soggy—I think it had been crying. I tried to get it to bring it back here, but it ran away. The last I saw of it, it was running from room to room like it didn’t know where to go. There was a string of people behind it, so maybe someone will be able to catch it and bring it back here for you. Good luck. Donna

A while ago I left a message on one of the boards(?) asking about PSP5. It was such a good price($52 as opposed to the original $99),I decided to go ahead and get it since there were no responses. That could have been because my message was buried somewhere in the "maze".... Have been working with it for a few hours yesterday and a little today. So far, have found it very user-friendly when altering images. There is ton more to learn but I like that as long as there is a manual to read and they include two, one for regular image editing and one for the animation -- that should be interesting! If any of you have this, you can download, for free, additional files (tubes) from the Web. I got mine at the ZDNet.com site from the Search at the Graphics Download page. Just type in Print Shop Pro and there is a whole page of different versions....the add-ons are for PSP5 and you can readily see which it is. Back to work, will check in later to see if we are still here..... Eleanor

He received the jokes but doesn’t know how to download to view them. Are there special steps I can tell him? This is what I know about his setup. He just started using aol 4.0 and his navigator is 3.02. There is always the chance I forwarded incorrectly, I guess. All I did was forward like a regular text message. Is that correct? I have never sent a message with an attachment or anything other than text in the body of the message. I appreciate all info. I am posting this to the old board and the new help board. Thanks. I don't think your wife would have appreciated being a bridesmaid at your own wedding. Never mind, I'm babbling again. Been doing that a lot lately. :-) I agree with you, all this wandering around is like exploring a huge castle. If you had eloped with Jill, you be in big trouble indeed. Well, well, HEELLLOOO! This place looks familiar, have I been here before? I didn´t know that this place was still alive until I read some rumors abt. it. Glad to hear that you all seem to be in good mood and with lots of fighting spirit. Hi Helga, Maurice and others! Thought I´d got lost, did you? I´ll tell you what, that eaassily happens at that crummy place called the new chat room. Like some others have already said, I´m feeling dizzy too, jumping between different chat rooms, flying among different topics and desperately trying to find some specific posting, only to find that that person´s posting is probably somewhere else. Somehow I feel like being inside an empty and haunted castle with some 500 rooms with all doors closed, walking through spooky hallways, opening each and every door to check if somebody´s there and if something´s going on. BLAAAH! I DON´T like it and never will. I´ve tried to get used to it but failed. Will only go there when I have to, I think. Have already spent too much time there, going through all the postings. It´s taken me several hours! So, TLC has taken the same design for the new PM chat room as what PA already has, someone said. Well, then I would like to say that now I´ve found a good reason not to got to PA´s chat room either! (I have PA3).----- Helga, I posted a reply to yr message about scanners and yr latest reinking experience. You have my deepest sympathy if you haven´t found it at that crummy chat room´s labyrinths. Just wanted you to know that I have learnt that you are one colorful lady already, but didn´t have to pour ink all over yourself to prove it… --- Sally, 10$ per reinked cartridge, hmm, a good price indeed, but only for the person who sold them to you. You can get away much cheaper by reinking yourself, I think. BTW, which printer do you have? There are a lot of people among us who have been reinking, so you can count on a lot of assistance. I suggest that you get yourself a reinking kit and just start doing it. --- Ha, did you think that I had eloped to Cancun with Jill! Interesting idea, but I don´t think that my wife would like it. Could use some of the Mexican heat though, here around Stockholm the rain is pouring down. I´m starting a 3 weeks vacation now, time for family, travelling, computer and PM as well. --- Hey TLC, give me my old chat room back! Why don´t you add some TLC ----- your name brings certain obligations, you know…-----Did I hear someone say that Frank is checking out an altenative free chat room? Looking for good news there! If it´s something similar to this old cozy, friendly and charming place that is what we all need, right? Catch you guys later. Toodleooo, Peter :-)

How do I put in an emoticon for crossed fingers? Larry, your starfish story made me weep. Had a hectic 4th and today will be yet another. To add my small autobiography to the list: am 53, spent 18 years as an Air Force wife of a pilot, (spookys, B-52s, Jetstars and T-39s) that for Larry. Am working on my second marriage to a retired golfer/engineer (not necessarily in that order) Love the computer and PM and make all our cards thus saving us tons of money so we can spend two months of cold winter on the Costa del Sol in Spain. One lovely 25 year old daughter for me and three lovely grown children for hubby (one bride to be on August 7) Hope to see you all here when I next check in. Michelle

Good Evening all, At least whom ever is around. Have been in and out all day. I haven't found anyone at home anywhere. Larry the Ford was a coupe and we don't have it anymore. My hubby wants a roadster but the house has eatten a lot of funds. Sally I'm sorry I didn't send a note of thanks for the info on the signers of the declaration. I found it interesting. When the chips are down I'm not sure our people are willing to give even half as much. Remember Viet Nam. I do and am ashamed of our country over that one. I am trying to get a web page started but I haven't got it working yet. Nothing special just a few pictures of the house and view and a chat area for just chatting. Not board style but for discussion. Mindscape I will continue to come here until you remove it. I came here first for help and then for fun. There is no other substitute...Take care all and keep in touch...Sharon** in Ak..

I know Frank went to see his folks out of town for the holiday. He will be back by monday. I got e-mails from Frank and Glenn. They are doing fine, but I surmise they are just as confused as I am. What a mess! Let's not give up, though. Let's hold our family together. As the moto of my country (Belgium) says "L'union fait la force!" Loosely translated "United we are strong." Have to start BBQing. See you later in the day. Hugs! Maurice.

I just find this site again, thanks to Kirsten. I was unable to get here from my old url. have spent last few days wandering around trying to find all the wonderful people who make this chat what it is. All of the alternatives will work with a little help from the dedicated people here, but this is still the PM Chat that we love and depend on for the help we need or just the friendly faces to help us get through the days. This was the first chat room I went to back in the fall when I first got my 'puter and I still feel it is the home base. I hope the powers that be are monitering it and will reconsider. Back in the fall, as a newbie, I never would have had the knowledge, time or dedication to learn to use the new one. Would not have known how to post a question so it could be answered correctly. I am so glad to see, this here and to be able to post, I just hope more of the club finds the correct url to get here. debb

How sad that everyone is so miserable due to the recent chat line changes. Can't we all send messages to The Learning Company concerning our dissatisfaction. (They probably think that once we get accustomed to the new chat line, we will adjust.) I wonder if it is possible to print a PM card that you have received as an online greeting. It seems that there should be a way to import it into your PM program & print it out, but I have been unable to figure out how to do this.

At least we got rain today, for the first time in three months. On this chat room there is nothing but eree silence. Let's not give up and use it till our last breath. Let's show Mindscape that we still love this, our home for such a long time. And an easy one to manage at that. Maybe they will reconsider, if they see we are so attached to it. What a beautiful and appropriate story, explains exactly how I feel. The format, the way the messages come in, and, most of all, the spontaneity there is here, is missing there. I can't see myself recommending PrintMaster to strangers in stores, as I have done on several occasions. I had always told them how great the Live Chat area was to make them feel at home. Hello Everyone, or is there an everyone? Larry I agree with the about the new chat, I don't think it is fine either. But it might be the only way to keep in touch. I haven't had a lot of problems with PM lately. When I first started I needed a great deal of help. I guess I'm just lucky. I come here mostly for the company. My husband works off (away from home) and is gone 2 weeks at the time. All of my children are grown and have their own lives. I love the comradery that is here and would hate to lose it. I haven't been on line as much as usual but will be back when we move to the new house. I'm 46 and find the people here are very much to my liking. I just bought my first computer in Feb. I had never even put my hands on one before. The people here are willing to help with any problem that I have come across.... My husband and I went around in a 1932 Model "A" roadster coupe when we dated back in the "60's". We didn't have any problems getting anywhere we wanted to go. Unfortunately it didn't alway get us home again. We went for style instead of speed and a lot of walking.(G) We will be celebrating our 28th aniversary this year. I won't ask who the oldest is...if you ask me I am impressed that folks who are celebrating their 48th wedding anniverary use the computer. My grandma refuses to even use an ATM! Not sure if that came out right. If I didn't know peoples ages I would think everyone was young...alot of you are pretty spunky! Well I wonder if I'll have to keep buying cartridges...I don't think I want to trust myself in reinking without someone to give a few hints or advice. My hubby just came home yesterday with a new cartridge. He said a fells he works with buys them for ten dollars from a guy who reinks tham. Is that a good price or would it be cheaper to re-ink myself? This is getting long...think positive thoughts folks and maybe this chatroom will stay!!!

An old man was walking along the beach with his grandson. His grandson picked up each starfish they passed and threw it back into the sea. "If I leave them up here," he said, "they would dry up and die. I'm saving their lives." "but," protested the old man, "the beach goes on for miles, and there are millions of starfish. What you are doing won't make any difference." The boy looked at the starfish in his hand, gently threw it into the ocean, and answered: "It makes a difference to this one."……..Thank you PM Chat "folks in charge," THIS style chat room makes a difference to this one>…..Larry

You can have a chat room without talent and warmth and you can have talent and warmth without a chat room, but things really start happening when you have a chat room combined with talent and warmth!…..Larry in Sunny CA

Morning Stuart, and that is one nice (and fast) RX-7 you have there. How fast do you have to go to feel the effects of the rear spoiler?…… Sharon, I can find NOTHING that is fine with the new board and see it as trouble both for folks and newbies. Don't think their "tech support" is handling things as well as we did and I know not with the same warmth. with. BTW, would you have seen one white with blue strip sock in the new room or anywhere? LMAO………….Hi Eleanor, welcome back and congratulations on your 48th anniversary now. I doubt that there will be any remnant of this room by then. Stay well and have a safe and happy 4th…. Sally have a safe and sane holiday and say hi to the other half for me. ….Larry

Well, after Stuart replied to my last e-mail, I discovered that the old "gem" was still here. Have really enjoyed reading the posts here this morning even if I feel like the "Mom" when seeing what your ages are. Had figured Larry for close to my oldest son's age.Tom is 46 next month, then there's David, 43 and Steve, 39. My husband's first car was a very pretty green'41 Chevy with a spotlight and a metal visor at the top of the windshield (had been his father's) They stopped making cars for a few years during WWII, so that was a prized possession, had it when I met him in '48--sure wish we had it now, would be worth a LOT! Certainly didn't ever think then that we would be driving around in a Japanese car now! We met just after Al had come out of the Navy. He went in right after high school, the war was over shortly after that. They did two year enlistments at the time. And now, here we are, with our 48th anniversary coming up in August. Now, back to the PM Chat...I have grown increasingly irritated with the new one, maybe need a break but can't see how it even comes close to this. Nice to have been here, hope they let it here for a while, maybe even some miracle will happen and they'll switch back. Happy 4th to all.....Eleanor

I am surprised too. I hope they don't know it is still here. I will truley be upset. I don't know how to get help on that other chatroom it looks confusing. Well now it looks like I am the only one here. Good night Sharon, see you tomorrow
