Got the card... haven't had a good look yet (as you said, Fathers Day has passed...) but it opened OK... how can you bear to delete your projects?? Mine are sacred... they're my babies... :-) Regards, Stuart
I am trying to creat a brosher. As I printed it, I noticed some smugging on the front. My printer is clean and I don't get smugges on any thing else I print. what's up with this? CJ
Pat - good morning! re. Your response to the insurance query. Check Callahan Online - www.eyescream.com -- his Two Week Archives & (offensive word deleted) Hope you got your computer problem(s) sorted out. Keep at it. You seem to be doing well. M.
HI! This is my first time on this list. We recently purchased PrintMaster Premier 4.0. The problem I am having is accessing any graphics from the 3 extra CD's. I have been trying to get to a drum set in the Music section of the Cd labelled Art & Photos CD 2. If I open a project and try to find that , the program brings up the graphics that fit that description from the main CD that runs the program. It gives me a selection of 6 pages, which, BTW, only goes to 5 before there are no more (28 of the 32 show). I have selected the CD that it should be on but if I try to put that CD in the computer, it asks for the program cd. I have tried everything I can think of to access this. Anyone else had this problem? I sure could use some help. I am downloading the patch as I type. Maybe that will somehow fix my problem. I will check back tomorrow to see if anyone had any input. TIA!!!
Stuart, were you able to receive the whole Father's Day card on my second attempt? Since Father's Day is just about over, I like to delete it if it came through OK. Thanks. L8R...(current time 9:40 PM PDT).....Helga=^..^=
From today's newspaper. At COMPUSA, PM Platinum $14.99 after an instant rebate of $15.00 and a MFR. Mail-in rebate of $30.00...Quantities are limited to one copy per customer...Offer good on merchandise sold Sunday, June 21, 1998 through Tuesday, June 23, 1998. Happy Shopping......Helga=^..^=
Hi RYKESH - I hope you get help from someone more computer hip than me. I wasn't aware there were e-mail cards that could be printed out. Am only familiar, so far, with the animated kind, which can be kept in a special folder in 'mail'. Some, like regular store-bought cards, are great to save, or even better, to remail to others. One particular one has been making the rounds for weeks, routed through faraway places. Hope you get the advice you need. Luck! M.
Pat (halfhour@idirect.com)--what are we going to do with you woman!! DO NOT uninstall the program....this will not solve the problem. go to: http://home.pacbell.net/tom_boy/ go to the printmaster page. you will see instructions for deleting the userproj. files. don't worry that it mentions an error message, it will still solve the problem you are having. after you delete the userproj. files from user001, delete that folder, then delete the userproj. files from user000. restart printmaster. follow onscreen prompts. if you are not using a ver 4 program, you will have to find your saved projects by "open from disk".
Joan (Jonifi@aol.com)
Make it easy on yourself, go to a local store that sells software, preferably something like a costco, sam's club, best buy, wal-mart, etc. right now, there is also a $30 rebate on the program. if the rebate card has a different $ amount, scratch it off and write in $30. the rebate has also been extended until sept. 15th. from what i hear, alot of people are getting great bargains by purchasing it at a store rather than through the mail. you will also get an image index, which for some weird reason, was not included in the mail order product. i don't know why, but it wasn't.
Hi - Where's Theresa Brewer when you want her? Have put more than a nickle in this particular odeum, and am still waiting for the music. Took time off to watch a great movie, down in the catacombe -- that screen looks huge after hours in front of this one. Anyway, got back to the FX-3D and the Aopenrack & they weren't at all pleased to have my company. I keep rearranging their innards, that could be why. But at least the system sounds are back, chiming and pinging and making nice rude noises. I do believe I hear one now ... bleeech! Bless the beast.
Hi Linda,I would very much like to see your card,it is nice to see different work ,helps for new ideas.Best to you ,Myra
Way to go Bev!, now you WILL keep us informed as to how you are coming along with your "learning curve" on your newly acquired goodies won't you. Lord how we love a bargain.(L)…Daisy, did you buy Riven? Have you played it or MYST? My brother got hooked on MYST and now it's my fault. Go figure…Also, if you can fix plumbing and it is working beautifully then you could do the slave/master routine (with your hard drive also, LMAO again) Didn't get to go boating yet, been working on my old pickup for the son to drive to and from Bakersfield while his is up for sale here…..Larry
Thanks to Linda and all those that responded to my post regarding saving my projects in PM to different areas by type of project. It was extremely helpful. I just discovered this PM club yesterday and have found it to be very interesting and helpful.
Great Sandi, I glad it worked out for you and the CD-Rom changing its drive letter is fairly common with "add-on Zips and removable drives like your SparQ drive". To change the drive letter assignment just go to MY COMPUTER / CONTROL PANEL/ SYSTEM then click on the Device Manager tab. Click the plus sign next to the type of drive, and then double-click CD-ROM. Next click Settings, and then change the drive letter back to G in BOTH boxes at the bottom where it says Reserved Drive Letters. Click OK and reboot the system and you should be back to where you were with your CD-ROM as drive G.…..Way to go friend!….
Larry, it's done and working absolutely great (so far) :-). The only thing I wasn't expecting was for CD-ROM to go from "G" drive to "E" drive. Can you explain this to me and if there is anything else that I need to change other than the shortcut I had on my desktop for this drive. I opened PM program to try it out and I seemed to have picked up some access speed, maybe it's just my imagination but I don't think so. Thanks once again friend. Sandi
I am using PrintMaster Gold and have heard there is a new Platinum edition available. How do I get? My last upgrade from PrintMaster to PrintMaster Gold notice came via mail.
Please advise,
Thank you,
Jonifi@aol.com
(G) I already fixed the plumbing and it is working beautifully. "The old fashioned way" does not include a ZIP drive. You been boating this weekend?
Ok Daisy, now I've slipped to "someone"? 'Tis a sad day indeed but I do understand (kinda (L) and I guess we shall have to have Kitty be our "test subject." Not sure where we are going to find a book with directions and deleting kids/husbands/dogs and cats is not my specialty (ok, ok, not anymore anyway) and depending on the amount of info to be transferred would/could be a determining factor. (If I recall you have a ZIP drive and Kitty does not). "Whatever works" is my moto….Isn't uncle Frank coming over to fix the plumbing???….linda, did I miss that?! I thought I said "Depending on your server ………… use two different phone connections for both machines to be online at the same time with one ISP"…….still grinnin in CA.
HELP!!!How come when I e-mail an online greeting we can not print it out..We are following the directions but just can't seem to get it.
Thanks
I'd love to see it, Linda... that'll put us on four cards all up... and I've got a few others I did for friends... I'll keep them and make a site for 'The first swap' and see if it generates interest in a second one...
Cheers,
Stuart
No we don't, but you can buy health care plans for animals at the vets costs an arm and leg. Pat
Hi. How's your day so far? Tell me why is it whenever I get on the computer Ziggy wants in my lap, and Mouse licks then bites my arm. Cats are they nuts or what? It's 8:58 here
Just wondering - Do you have a national health plan for pets too?
Hi Pat & all -
So, what time is it in Burlington, Pat? Right here, right now it's 8:32 pm on the clock with the battery. All of the rest tell different stories. Twilight Zone!
The comparison of computers to cats is scarey. After all, cats purr not only when contented but also when in severe pain! And my puter's purring just fine.
Since we too 'having a heat-wave' our kits have discovered ceiling fans. Fun to watch them trying to attack! The puter isn't nearly as entertaining - the sound FX aren't coming through. Something I did, undoubtedly. ?!?
HAPPY FATHERS DAY ALL YOU DADS! Sent son-in-law #1 e-postcards from 'Oh, My Goodness'. Son-in-law #2 will have to read his at a neighbours. And Son would be shocked to have old Mum send anything of the sort ... just as his Dad would.
The latter got a Chinese New Year 'card' from a different site. Read it. Then went back to watching golf on TV.
Speaking of cards, anyone familiar with AOpenrack and FX-3D sound systems? Mayre the #@%&!!#!
Well... true to form, I created my father's day card today - it's pretty funny, and VERY appropriate for my dad. I can still send it if you want, good for laughs, but kind of late if someone wanted to adapt and use it!
Kitty - I think what Larry may have missed (but I won't point it out to him, because Martians hate to admit they make mistakes <LMAO>) is that you are trying to do it on ONE phone line. While many ISP's will let you be online w/ 2 computers at the same time (at least both mine and my SO's will) I don't think there is a way to do it with them both on the same line. The 2nd computer won't be able to dial - don't know what would happen if you dialed them both at the same time...
Hi Kathy - I know you already got a couple responses to your question, and my apologies if you've already got it straightened out. While you can't physically (or at least not easily) save your projects in different areas, you can View all your cards, posters, newsletters separately if you want. The way I do it, is to be sure and include what type of project it is in the KEYWORD field when you Save it(ie. if you are working on a card, make sure one of the keywords is CARD). Then when you choose Your Own, put CARD in the keyword field and you will be shown ONLY the CARDS. I worked w/ version 3 before this one and it DID save the projects each in a different folder, but it WAS A REAL PAIN if you wanted to do Back-ups because you had to back-up each individual folder. This way you Back-up ONE folder and you get ALL you projects. Have fun...
Well I knew I should have saved this tip when I saw it but I didn't because I never had a problem. Today I have, got 2 user files and no projects. Should I uninstall PM and reinstall or what. If I reinstall will I have my free graphics and fonts or do I reapply. Pat
We all have our limitations and making a slave of a hard drive by going on what someone tells me quickly in a chat room is a limit for me. Now, give me a book with step-by-step directions and clear illustrations and time with no children, husbands, dogs, or cats around me and I'd probably give it a try. On the other hand, in the time it would take to get both hard drives hooked up and running I could have all my programs installed and files transferred the old fashioned way. Besides, while I'm learning to slave/master 2 HDs who's going to fix the kitchen plumbing? ;^)
Just checking the time against my computer. Pat
A computer and a cat are somewhat alike--they both purr, and like to be stroked, and spend a lot of the day motionless. They also have secrets they don't necessarily share.....Readers Digest & The New Yorker
Aw Daisy, I would figure you for an adventurous one who could easily slave/master a couple of hard drives. Hope your SO is having a great day and the weather is giving you a break….Arlene, I would save a copy of your projects on floppy (or another drive ie: D:, ZIP, LS-120, etc.) for the day when you have a crash. (Don't mean to sound ominous here just being careful). "Stuff happens" on any given day of the week and you know what Murphy says(G)….Kitty, keep us posted and remember the red stripe on the IDE cable(flat gray ribbon cable with the red stripe for #1) goes TOWARD (next to)the power cable. (nothing dramatic will happen if you get it wrong, the system just won't see the slave drive ( just look at the present way its hooked now)….. grinin in sunny CA
No, Larry, You weren't unclear after I printed your instructions out and read them a few times. I think I will try it since it seems pretty simple. The hardest thing for me would be identifying the pieces and Bill knows all that. We will probably do it after church. Then I can spend tomorrow when I need to be sewing moving programs instead. (VBG) thank you for explaining it to me and I will let you know how it comes out.
Thankyou Larry for the info re installing PM4. I'm not going to change over for a few days as I have some projects I am working on in 3 and don't want to mess up and lose them. When I get it all done I will let you know how I made out. Your instructions are very clear so there should be no problem. Have a great Fathers Day. Arlene
I agree with Larry's last post. I have installed a new modem, memory, and a SCSI card, but I would not attempt to slave hard drives myself. Once you have your programs installed on the new computer you will be able to transfer your projects. documents, and bookmarks via floppy disks.
Thanks Kitty from me and all the Fathers out there in cyberspace and (home).(L) Understand your reluctance and then I would just install programs today than you wish on your new machine. When it becomes convenient to do so, then take both machines or your new machine and your "slave drive" to someone who is comfortable with the procedure to do it for you. I was apparently unclear in my directions and I apologize. Understand about the "life line" phenomena. To move/save bookmarks, just go to Netscape folder (that is if you are using Netscape(G) and then USERS folder, then your net name folder (raptors2 in my case). Once in "your name" folder you will see the file called bookmarks. Copy to a floppy and they will be saved for a rainy day (sorry) and for transfer to your new PC….Depending on your server (some can detect and some cannot) will determine whether you can have two machines on at the same time. On way I know is to network your machines or to use two different phone connections for both machines to be online at the same time with one ISP…….Yes, unplug the CD rom POWER and IDE ribbon cable (for now) and plug your old (slave) drive in those sockets for the transfer…..Going to get new tires for my truck now..back later…..larry
Are any of you reading the log each day on the internet from the Crowley tug-boat "Sea Victory" as it is arriving just now in Pearl Harbor taking this "The Most Famous Battleship in U.S. History" to its final destination: our newest wartime memorial? I went to Oregon and saw her just a day before the 2,500 mile tug boat trip to Hawaii started on June 4. Great day for those of you who served your country in the armed services AS WELL AS FOR THE REST OF US!! Happy Father's Day to all. We thank God for the fathers he gave us, and for the wonderful fathers of our children! Then M.L. shutteth up.
Larry, did you mean to plug the Old har drive into the cd rom wires in the New computer?
Hey friend, I've got plenty of lead in my pencil, just no one to write to. (LMAO again here). Yes, have bookmarked the site for future reference thanks!(L)….Have a great day Glenn and wish the best for you and yours today and always!…Might take the boat to the lake today……..Larry
Larry, don't gloat. Weather here is hot and MUGGY. IT has been worse but is still quite uncomfortable. At least I am inside. Going to make some Iced tea.
Happy Father's Day to all! I hate to think of doing this, I wish I had someone looking over my shoulder to see if I do it right. Bill said there are wires going every where and He doesn't know how to do this so it is up to me. I hate to turn the computer off. It is my life line to keep in touch with all. Maybe I will get you on the third computer. Question how do I move my Bookmarks? I will never find them all if I have to search for them. and I also need to know if there is a way to hook two computers up to the internet through the same phone line at the same time, i.e. Both be surfing at the same time. Right now, the second one says that it can't detect a dial tone and won't connect.
Hello Friend, Thanks and wish you a great one too. Have you got the dispenser put up yet? If you haven't already you need to look at that site.
Morning Kitty, and how is Bill this fine F Day and how is the weather in PA? What I recommend now is to take your hard drive out of your other machine, check the label/decal for jumper settings, make it your "slave" drive, and hook up the power and IDE ribbon cable. You can just unplug the CD-Rom and use that same IDE cable and power cable to make things easier. When you temporarily install your "slave drive" make sure none of the controller board connections (on the bottom of the hard drive) touch any metal on the case. Turn on the new machine and hit the delete key to get into the CMOS (complementary metal oxide) and then tab to the "auto detect hard drives" section. One it detects your "slave drive" you exit WITH save and the machine will reboot now KNOWING it has a second or "slave" drive. All you do now is "drag and drop" your personal DATA files over the drive in the new/improved machine. Simple eh?….If you wish you could install the programs you presently have on the "old" PC on your "new" PC and then drag the file folders over to the corresponding programs on your "new" PC……Have fun….Larry
Well i took the plunge and the new computer is turned on, now how do I move my life over to IT?
Happy Father's Day friend! Great comic pics with Viagra, did you get a prescription for a gift for Father's Day? (LMAO here). HRH needs to get her vehicles running, got any advice? Have a great day!..Gettin hotter in sunny CA
Hello Frank, according to Daisy your theory that stuff runs down hill is not correct.Said her garbage disposer looked like Old Faithful. BTW do you ever answer your E Mail? Or do you just filter mine out?
Frank, I just checked and I have 43,436 when All are accounted for on screen. My version is described as having 40,000+ graphics, 6,000+photos and 4,000+ templates. Also, 100 photos from the National Geographic Photo Gallery were included. At the time of purchase the Platinum would have cost me an additonal $30 at Circuit City, with rebate, and I decided this would provide me with plenty for a while. I, too, had the promos from PM in the mail but when I compared them, could see how much more expensive it was to go that way. Bev....the post that began this discussion is way down on the board but I noticed that there was a discrepancy in what several people were saying about how many cd's were included in this version.......Eleanor
Hi Jim, Just downloaded and saved the chat archives to Adobe, where they open without any problem. They can also be downloaded into aol download, then accessed by going to Windows Explorer, from there to the AOL download file folder... cl ick on that and it should go to the Adobe, since you send them in PDF. The only problem I ever had was when they came in part mime and just wouldn't transfer......Eleanor
Morning Arlene, and welcome to PrintMaster chat! I have installed version 3 and 4 over version 4 MANY times on many machines for folks with 100% success. You just have to partially delete the program before installing version 4 (any flavor, ie Gold, Platinum, etc). To do so, open the PMW folder located on the hard drive you installed to (probably the C). Are you familiar with using Windows Explorer (the one that replaced program manger in 3x)? Open Explorer and find the PMW folder and delete all files EXCEPT (<very important here) the YELLOW folders. When finished, close Explorer and reinstall your new PrintMaster 4, most all prefer the increased features and graphics of 4.0 (one note of dissatisfaction is that in version 3 the graphic files were accessible by other programs and in version 4 Mindscape saw fit to not allow this feature, moral (keep version 3 for use in Word and graphics programs without having to play the "copy and paste" routine. Perhaps in version 7 they have seen fit to allow us to access them once again (but I doubt it)…..Lynn Campbell Behnke, a very sincere HAPPY 23rd anniversary, and we also give automotive advice here (right Glenn?)(g)….. jim, thank you for the chat archives once again friend….. Connie, the ink acts as the "coolant" so print away! (only when you see skipping are the print heads running hot)….. sadly I have NO good deals to report this fine Sunday morning…..Happy Father's Day to all and thanks to you ladies who wishes the same for us!…….Larry
Printer gurus, if I'm doing a LOT of printing do I need to let the printer or printheads cool down once in a while or anything like that to keep from wearing them out. Am using my second cartridge I refilled, works like a breeze. I forgot to say I have a Canon 4200, no 4300 printer. I'm printing off about 100 Creole mini bibles for a group from our church to take to an orphanage in Haiti.
I'm sure glad I bought that double reinking kit! Maurice do you know Creole, or anyone else? Would like a translation of a few more words that I don't have.
I don't know whether you meant just 2 Deluxe Art CD's or three altogether. I got 3 altogether which includes the main disc and 2 deluxe arts. Did I get ripped off, too? Half the fun is finding the bargains, tho, and who am I to complain when I got it for just the tax? Later Bev
the archive should be out the door in a few minutes. *** anyone remember what the fix is for those attempthing to download PDF files from AOL? i've had a few questions. send me an e-mail at jim@kjs-a.com *** to all on a father's day!! (thank goodness for mothers) *** enjoy
Hi Sharon, the posting was meant to entertain the troops (more chit than chat) and went something like this "I received a flier from a friend in Alaska. It warns tourists there to wear small bells on their clothing. This to ward off bears. But the flier admonishes that this will not work for grizzlies. But it is easy to spot if grizzlies are around. You just examine their droppings. You invariably will find small bells in them." Maurice.
Kila, there is a way to do this. Go to http//members.xoom.com/mbgoldberg , Michael Goldberg's home page, clic PrintMaster, Tips, the solution may be there. I not real familiar with it 'cause I don't use the ready mades.
Hi, Daisy. Welcome to the club. Rip Off Club, that is. I also "took advantage" of the special offer as a previous owner of PM. Only got 2 disks. Who would you say took advantage of whom? Eleanor, how many graphics in your version? In my version, with all windows in "All" and the search window empty, at the bottom of the Art Gallery it says I have 34,225.
AC#$%!KK I had no idea you couldn't get back to your old messages... or if you can I don't know how. I'm sorry if this has been answered, if noone is here right now please e-mail me, I can't get here that often.
HOW do you change your project from the ready made projects to print 1/4 folded insteaded of the other, I have the card envelope size. I tried copying the graphics to a new project, but it still carried the way it was set up to print.
thanks.
Hello everyone how are you all doing. Have been gone for the last few days and just got back, so if you sent me some mail I will answer asap. Maurice,Peter. bear bells in Ak.? Didn't see the original post. These things are for sale everywhere. even bears like a little music while they dine!!(G). Happy Father's Day to everyone of the martian persuasion...Have a great day....Sharon
Happy Father's Day to all the dads. Have a great day! Donna
Wow, Daisy, that is a shame....I bought mine at Circuit City and it cost me a total of $25 with the rebate --I did have to wait a few months for that, of course. You have cleared up the mystery for me....not the first person I have seen say that they had only 2 cd's. I bought mine right around Christmas after we purchased the new computer. elk
Hey, Lottie! The link to a good unzip and zip utility was right before yr eyes on Michael Goldberg´s site: Click Printmaster and Projects to Download and there you see it! The URL is: www.pkware.com to the utility called PKZip, one of the best there is. Another popular alternative is WinZip at www.winzip.com. Good luck! They´re easy to install and use. :-) Peter
Dear Larry,
You're right. I thought that since neither vehicle was working so I knew we wouldn't be able to go to church, I'd stay up late. But after just celebrating our 23rd anniversary, if I still can't spell Behnke, I should have been in bed. Best wishes. Lynn
I am new to all of this so I hope someone can offer me some help. I have just purchased printmaster 4 and already have 3 on my computer. They say you should remove 3 before installing 4. I know I will lose my projects. Will the uninstall button on pm3 remove the masterclips and the photo enhacning soft ware as well? I'm assuming there is more of the same on pm4. Has anyone done this? Also is pm4 better than pm3 and are the graphics as nice? Thankyou
Hi. I wanted to say thanks for helping me locate the Candy Bar Wrapper at the Goldberg website..guess what.. I don't have a ZIP file to decompress that..I was really bummed. So I am still looking for a template to get some idea of how to set up a candy bar wrapper with the PM Premier program that I bought. I sure could use any assistance from you pro's out there..
Thanks so much..
Well there's just another example of how Mindscape ripped me off with their "special offer for previous owners of PrintMaster software". Seems to me they should have paid me to be a beta tester. Yeah, it was a special offer all right - special for THEM - charged me more, gave me less.
Hi All who have PMGold deLuxe.....I have the Printmaster Gold deLuxe with 3 cd's, the first one is the main CD, and there are two others with Deluxe Art 1 on the red one and Deluxe Art 2 on the yellow one. From what I read here, there must be several versions. Eleanor
Jill, I was in Cancun in September and we rented a car to drive to the ruins. (can't spell Chichinitza or whatever) and it was cheaper than taking a tour bus. The temperature at the site was about 110 and there was absolutely no shade except at the reception center. It'll probably be even hotter when you're there. Hate to be a spoilsport, but it wasn't worth it to almost bake to death and see a bunch of stones. My suggestion, buy the book with the pictures. Michelle
Good morning to all. And a Happy Fathers Day to All you Dad's out there. Pat
HAPPY FATHERS' DAY!
Before I get a very early start on my day, I just want to wish all dads a wonderful Father's Day. Also, Happy Summer Solstice to everyone and a Happy Winter Solstice to our friends in the Southern Hemisphere. Bye for now...(current time 5:15AM PDT)....Helga>^..^<
I didn't read your post until this morning, sorry! I got the Print Shop at Office Depot and the sale ended yesterday. That's why I called first. Read Daisy's post below and Sam's Club has almost the same thing, of course, you have to be a member. Has anyone rec'd two free CD's from having a subscription to PC Computing? I put them in and nothing happens. Maybe I am doing something wrong. Since I got the free 4.0 patch for Microsoft, I get confused about exiting all existing programs, so maybe that is it. I sure hope someone of you lovely people has rec'd them, too. Happy Father's Day all you sweet fellas with a special kudo to Michael and those precious triplets!
Bev and =(^..^)= (I had to feed her lots of goodies to get back in her good graces!)
Happy Fathers Day and may the sun shine on each and everyone of you. Sandi
Hello there, Connie. It´s Ok, Connie, no harm done. You´re very right there that over the net, it´s sometimes a bit difficult to know if a person was offended or just joking. Sorry abt. yr puppy. Hope that little Zara has recovered by now. I bet that you have given the little one some extra goodies to relieve the chock... Have a nice Sunday, Connie. :-) Peter
Evening Rob, sounds like a plan as Glenn said, now please tell us why? Or is it like friend Jill reason?…. Connie, you got those syringes and the dishes washed yet?(LMAO)…. Lynn Campbell Behnk(E) you are appreciated for your Father's Day greeting and you are tired (can tell by the misspelling of your married name….grinin in sunny CA...tomorrow is good deal day!!!!
By the way, for those who watch these things: that last post said 9:43 P.M., June 20, but it's actually 1:06 A.M. June 21. Happy Father's Day, guys. Lynn
Kathy,
Since my album frequently gets corrupted if I save too many Printmaster Projects, I created another directory called PrintMaster Backups and have used it happily for over a year. After I have a few projects saved, I used File Manager (in Win 3.1) and Windows Explorer (in Win95) and moved them to there. Of course, it's an extra step, having to Open from disk, but I have them sorted: Family, Sunday School, Girl Scouts, Business, etc. You could just as easily sort them by Card, Poster, etc. Just name the groups anything you like. Lynn
Thanks to those who explained how to save particular parts of the scroll instead of printing the whole thing. I had often wondered how to do this myself. Also, whoever it was who had that kitty story, would it be possible to e-mail me a copy??? I have some friends who are interested in seeing it. Don't worry if it's too much trouble. Thanks.
Peter, don't get your boxers in an uproar, I was just teasing. Guess it's hard to tell on the net but don't take anything I say TOO seriously, unless it's something like "my dog died" but then she didn't, but she did eat one of Rob's lures and we had to take her to the vet to get the hook out of her lip. She's only 7 weeks old so it was pretty tramatic, plus the other treble got stuck in the skirt of the chair and she was attached to it while we were at work. We had to cut the chair to get her lose. The lure was a Zara Puppy so we named her Zara.... Now that story is serious. Love ya, Peter.
Connie
It won't move them, but if you right click on your projects in the gallery and select Properties you can add keywords. Then you can use the search to find each category of project.
Good evening Rob. I have Platinum on one drive and Gold Deluxe on another. There is no conflict at all. The only reason I've kept Gold Deluxe is that I have not yet learned how to save "My Projects" Folder from the Gold and transfer it to Platinum. Perhaps some kind person will lead me through the steps and I can remove the Gold permanently. There is no need for it once you have Platinum. Cheers. Jill
Ray, thanx for the card from "ohmygoodness". A person could really knock the lid off Pandora's Box with that one, eh?
Rught? Shoulda been right.
Kathy, don't think what you want to do is possible. You're rught they all go to the same page in the order saved, not even in alpha order. Maybe in v.7.........? 'Twould be nice.
Hello Manuel,
I have PMGold 4.0 and a HP660c Deskjet. I've made a few T-shirts for the kids. Here's how i did it. To change the Graphics you need to go to "Mirror" or "Flip". Practice on regular paper first. When you have printed your graphics. Hold the paper up toward a light with the Graphics side facing away from you. This is how it will look on a T-shirt. Also when you go to print on T-shirt Transfer paper. Make sure print is set on Premium inkjet (or Special Paper). Also make sure Print Quality is set on Presentation (or best). I hope this has helped you. And good luck.
Gregg
Rob, You have the perfect solution.
Manuel the reason you select all and group is that if you don't do it only the graphic or text block that is selected will mirror. By select all and group all of them flip at once.
I am planning to run Platinum4 on drive D: called PMPW4 & Gold3 on drive E: called PMGW3, anybody see any conflicts or problems with doing this.?
Thanks, Kitty! After I posted I played around and figured out pretty much
the same instructions, but I'm glad you confirmed that I'm doing it right.
I sort of thought that there would be a button somewhere that would do
it automagically, though :-)
Manuel, if that was as clear as mud then tell me and I will add punctuation at least.
Manuel, After you get the design to your liking then go to edit/Select all then go over to your right side of the screen and click on Group (If you don't know what those buttons are for just hold the pointer on each one and after a second a little box will tell you the name.) After you group then there will be one big box around all then go to the right where you see the triangles and find the one Mirror, click and the whole design should flip. have fun.. Watch, I'm going to be doing one soon and I will for get to do that before I waste a couple of sheets at least.
Hi! I'm wondering if anyone knows how to print a project in mirror-image
so that it will come out correctly when you put it on t-shirt transfer paper?
I understand that PM will do this, but for the life of me I can't find the
option in the menus.
I have PM 4.0 Premier and an Epson Stylus Pro printer.
Thanks!
She said in her post that she got them at "BEST BUY". It's a big appliance, electronics(including computers), software, music store. Do they have COMPUSA in Pittsburg? You can see BestBuy's and COMP's ads at their websites. www.compusa.com and www.bestbuy.com At the sites you can also look for a store in your area. (If they are putting out new ads tomorrow you will be able to see them after midnight EST.)
To print a certain post - hilite the post to be printed. It will turn blue. Then click File...Print... In print range click on "Selection". I tried it and it worked for me. Good Luck. You will save a fortune on paper.
Marla something that work really well is to copy and paste the one's you want to keep into Word Pad. I made a new folder and named it Chat Clips to save them to. That way if you want to send it to some in E Mail all you have to do is copy and paste. To print just one posting highlight it and paste it into word pad and print it. If you are using IE4.0 as a browser you can highlight it and right click on it and select print. Then when your printer dialogf box comes up select print selection.
Jill you have 5 emails or ZIP.They keep coming back to me,help!!Myra
Marla, just clic and drag your pointer to highlight what you want to save and go to Edit then Copy. Then click on the start button and go to Programs, Accessories, Word Pad. When It opens up then click on Edit, then Paste should be highlighted. Click on it and it is saved temporarily. You can do this all through and go through and do like I do. Open a word pad for each different subject and move the posts to their permanant homes at the end of the day using the same technique. Save each by giving it a name Like, cards, PM hints, etc.
Is there a way to save certain posts on the pm chat? Some do not apply to me & some do. Some days I print the whole day just for a few posts. (20 pages worth each time.) At this rate I'm going to have a set of encyclopedias in a very short time. Marla in sunny, hot, southern california. P.S. I COULD USE THESE ENCYCLOPEDIAS FOR BLACKMAIL!! What a thought.
Bev, WHERE did you get that copy of Print Shop, PLEASE?... My husband is taking me to Pittsburgh to the computer show tomorrow and If There is a store near that has it that cheap, that should beat the computer show all hollow!... Also for those who were wondering about JUno, they told me that they are not allowed to distribute outside the USA.
With PM Gold Deluxe the choices under Art Collections are as follows: All, Your Own, Printmaster, Deluxe, Free Graphics, and Graphics CD Catalog. Selecting "Printmaster" will show all the graphics on the 'Deluxe Program CD'. Selecting "Deluxe" will show all the graphics on the 'Deluxe Art & Projects' CD. There is no Art 1 etc. choice.
I just got started with Printmaster Premier and love it. But am wondering this...when you create "Brand New" projects and save to "Your Projects" how do you sort them by "Type of Project"?
All my projects are on the same page. How do I break them down by Business Cards, Cards, Brochures, Notecards, envelopes, etc... I've read through the manual but couldn't find anything that addressed this.
Nobody has mentioned it yet, but the other day Juno was advertising JUNO GOLD that allowed attachments. For a monthly fee. Dont remember the exact ammount but something just under $3. a month. Instant service with credit card. Kind of wrecks their sloga __E MAIL WAS MEANT TO BE FREE__
