Good Evening Frank, go to the cheapest store in your area that sell crafts and fabrics and get a Fiskars cutting mat and a cutting ruler. they are relatively inexpensive and save the table top. I have one the size of my table for fabric and store it under my mattress when not in use. Got it at a garage sale.......S

Did I miss a full moon tonight? All this chitting and chatting has got to stop!<ROLF!!!> Thanx, Peter for the come back about hard drives. Tried all those things w/PackardBell Tech Support, noting worked, so re-installed the original 546 meg, and gave it to my son for a backup. He promtly gave it to my X. Let her struggle with it! Now to the business at hand. Bought the Fiskars rotary cutter @ Michael's tonight, and a perforation cutter @ OfficeMax. I got elected to make the tickets for a fundraiser for the gun club. What's the best thing ladies, for padding under your project? Imagine that perf. cutter could reeeeeally raise hobbs with the dining room table. Been making tickets since around 9, it's midnight now. Everyone's gone to bed, I'm sure, so will look for an answer anon. That is if all the chittin' and chattin' doesn't scroll it off in two or three hours! Looks like I missed a good male cow (chew on that one zensor) session tonight. Sigh. To bed. Later, Frank. P. S. Larry. Tom Brokaw said on the news Tuesday night that S CA was having a problem with grasshoppers. That's the "bugs" I was referring to. dumbassmartian, indeed!

Even though it has html formating for the text I don't think it can receive picures in the message. When I send to my friend he has been able to see my formatting and the colored backgrounds, but he can't see the stationery. This is what "the book" has to say about attachments. BOOK= "If you receive a message that has an attachment you'll see a paper clip icon next to the envelope icon. To view the attachment, just double-click the message. You'll see a compose window, just like the one you use when you write a new message,... except that there's a special panel at the bottom that contains the attachment. (Paragraph)Mail displays the attachment as an icon. To view the attachment, just double-click it. Windows will attempt to find an application to view the file. (paragraph) If no application exists that's capable of displaying the file, you'll see a dialog box asking you to associate this type of file with an application."

I probably wouldn't have ever know of my mistake if it wasn't for Glenn e-mailing me. By the time I got on tonight, anything about it had already scrolled off, and there is only a small mention of it that I almost missed. If this vhat room wsn't so darn interesting I would get to bed at a decent hour and would have half a brain. Glenn are you around? I am sorry but I feel the need to walk away from this scanner. I am really thinking about finding a way to get my money back or get something else. I feel like I did in algebra class, I cried because everyone else understood it and it was just so over my head. I failed and had to go to summer school. I did eight chapters in four weeks and got an A+. But I have to say I don't think there is much hope of me understanding it. I am going to bed now, 11:30 pm. The lack of sleep is getting to me....Melissa

If you have IE4.0 go to fullscreen and then all of Michaels picture will show. For those of you that don't have IE 4.0, it has a fullscreen feature that takes out all toolbars except a very narrow one that has all the essential buttons (back, forward, stop, etc). Very nice feature for stuff like this. I have a 19" monitor and pictures really jump out at you! Donna

Evening to ALL the GREAT (but chit-chatty) folks here…..Peter, did you say your personal computer whiz said "tough guys don't do backups or DUMB guys don't do backups?"<VBG>……Frank, I don't know what "bugs" you are referring to friend…Bev, beta (along with being the second letter of the Greek alphabet) in this case is the name given for a computer product prior to commercial release. Beta testing is the last stage of testing, and normally involves sending the product to beta test sites (folks like me) outside the company for "real-world" exposure. It is often preceded by a round of testing called (what else?)alpha testing. Thanks for asking and no real correlation to the vidoe tapes of old. Yes, Willie (Gates) did do fine and he is really a personable guy that happens to have money…..Jean, we fellows (and the gals too it would appear) really do get a kick out of helping all who feel like they are beyond the reach of becoming computer-literate. What some would consider dysfunctional some folks call beneficial. Guess that's what makes the world go round eh?….Stuart, yes you were chitting and you know better..Hey Glenn, how are you friend?…...Linda, I have not forgot about Mars/Venus just been busy, look soon for email…..Larry

Hi All, first I was matched up with Princess Lynn for an eloping act. As she is my niece I suppose that would be illegal according to US Law. Then I was supposed to be the father of triplets with Lee as the happy mother. Although I once lived in Maryland (Lee's present home state) I can swear we never met. My little Martha would object to all this strenuously. She still likes to keep me as her husband and dance partner, she says. Moreover, even if she weighs only 94 lbs, she will scratch out the eyes... etc. etc. (HA HA HA!) Maurice.

My friend has a blueprint shop and can get card stock for me but it's only 80 or so weight and it's very nice but would like to get some of the shiny stuff. Thanks to all........S

Hello Myra, have you tried shutting down all the programs that are running in the background. What I would do is the control-alt-del and shut everything down except systray and explorer. If this fixes the problem restart your computer and cancel them one at a time until you find the one that is causing the problem. Then move it out of the start program or delete it.I would first suspect any viris program

I just got a heap of 150 gsm card stock cut to A5 size, for printing greeting cards... 1000 sheets for $20... I'm heading to a local flea market, with 'Personalised' greeting cards...

Noted much discussion about *.tmp files below. If any of you use print artist platinum and have deleted all your *.tmp files, you will not be able to produce a calendar in the attached Photo Express program. You can reinstall this file simply by using windows explorer and copying "calendar.tmp" from the original CD to the "iphotoexpress\programs\plugin" folder on your hard drive.
